ABC Block Christmas Tree

How cute is this!? I made this this afternoon when the kiddos were napping. Very easy and a nice relaxing way to spend the afternoon. No brain power involved. Thinking of making a few more for family Christmas presents. They are just too cute not to! My friend Michele Glenn gave me the idea. You can find everything at Michaels, Hobby Lobby and Target (the blocks).

November Calendar

This was last month's ladies night. It was at my house and since I was the hostess (with the mostest!) I had the pressure of making calendar. Here is the calendar page I made for November.

Close up please! This was simple but a fun calendar page using the Designer Series Papers from the Holiday Mini Catalog! Love it!

Christmas Card

I love this new hostess set-Deer Friends! And the new designer series papers that Stampin Up! introduced in the Holiday Mini Catalog. Check out the cute card I made for our ladies card night this Thursday-lots of punching out but so cute!

Teeny Bopper!

Okay, so my sister is officially a teeny bopper (13 today to be exact!) and so I just had to make her this card for her birthday-'cause she rocks! My oldest daughter calls her "rockstar Jana" that is how totally cool she is!
I love the new Chunky glitter! I glittered the eyes and bow-so cute!

Projects for Today

Happy Labor Day everyone! Well I have been laboring over a few projects of my own in my basement listening to the wind whip through and the rain tiptoeing on my windows all afternoon. What a perfect afternoon to scrap! I made a card using one of my new stamp sets-Party Hearty

And then when I went to turn over my calendar to September I realized I do not have anything there! Uh-oh! Where did it go? I have no idea, but if anyone has ever seen my scrap space they know as well as I that I just may never find it-so I made another one.

Projects projects and more projects!

I have just been a busy little bee trying to get a few samples made for my open house next week and I also came up with the card that I am going to do for our card swap group. Our challenge for the month is to make a card that isn't a rectangle, so this is what I cam eup with-oh and the theme is birthday. I saw a card on another site that was simalar, so I just modified and made it mine!

Then as I was making that one the big shot die that I used sort of reminded me of a big cowboy belt buckle so I made this little quickie

And I loved the plate that I made for my mom so much that I made another one to display at my open house. Maybe if people like them I will do a class-

And finally-I made a little bookmark that is similar to those we made at convention this year, but I just used different colors and designer series paper-I think this will be one of my open house projects-nice and simple.

Hello...Can you hear me now?

Wow! It's been a while since I posted-if anyone is checking, so here are a few projects I have done lately.
I made this for my mom as a gift. She celebrated her 25th anniversary at her office! 25 years! Can you believe that! So I made her a little desk accessory using a glass plate, a plate stand and then just decorated one of the carousel notes. I might make these into Christmas gifts and have themes for throughout the year that can be displayed like Christmas, Easter, summer, etc. We shall see!

This was another carousel note I used to make a little thank you card for my rockin' friend Lacey-she's the best! She definately spoiled me on my birthday! And she made the CUTEST card for me, so I had to try and make a cute one for her!

And here is my card for tonights girls night out card swap. I guess I really love scalloped edges these days-can you tell? It's not a carousel note, but it is my first attempt at the BIG SHOT by Sizzix that Stampin' Up! Now carries-don't you love it! I think that I am in love! The theme for our cards this month was general and the challenge was to use our birthstone color, so I used certainly celery to match up with peridot. FUN!

a few things i've done lately

Here are a few pictures of a couple of projects I have been working on lately. The first one is a notebook that I made for my friend Dawn-we are going the the Stampin' Up! Convention in a few weeks and so I put together a little gift for her.

And this is what I made for our girls night card swap this Thursday night. The theme this month is "anything BUT a card" so I decortated a little tin and put some chocolates in there-hope they like it!

Amazing!!

Here is a card that i did for kwerner's design challenge. i loved the color combo and finally found the time to actually get it done before the deadline! yea for me! And then I really wanted a cupcake-why can't we have a place like that where I live? Dang it!
Here are the colors.

And here is my card
It is kind of hard to see but I roughed up the edges and added a little "bling" to the black piece with dazzling diamonds. I had yet to use this stamp set, in fact I had to cut it out to use it today, so see, I killed two birds with one stone! Another yea for me! Man, I better save some of this stuff for later!

Convention swaps

so i made a few cards last night that i am thinking of taking to convention. let me know what you think of them and if they are worthy of swapping!

Can't wait to get that scallop border punch that I ordered from the preview! Might make this card a lot easier to mass produce!

And this one was fun! For some reason I have 2 unopened packs of Glorious green so I challenged myself to use that for this card! Reminds me too much of St. Patty's day, but with a hint of pink...oh I don't know yet!~
